Position: Executive Director

Job Type: Full time- 40 hours per week

Wage: Salary range $33,0000 – $40,000

Location: On-site at our youth center building (529 S. Main St. Kendallville, IN 46755)

Reports to: Board of Directors- Chairperson

Start: Looking to hire immediately

Summary:

We are looking for an Executive Director to oversee all operations, functions, and activities. You will be the face of the organization, responsible for giving the proper strategic direction, and implementing a high-quality vision for our youth. An ideal Executive Director is able to be an influential manager with the ability to lead and motivate our youth. The goal is to manage and lead the organization towards the realization of its mission. Our Executive Director will be in and for our community as we serve our youth.

Executive Director duties and responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the board to identify, create and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives

· Identify, recruit, train and develop a talented team of volunteers

· Manage daily operations and ensure business practices comply with our by-laws and legal requirements

· Develop the organizational culture for our youth and promote youth development

· Develop partnerships with schools, churches, youth groups and organizations

· Identify potential risks and opportunities within the organization and its environment to protect business interests

· Identify potential sources of investment and organize fundraising efforts

· Represent the company at social and fundraising events in ways that strengthen the brand and communicate the company’s message

· Initiate, plan and execute daily programing for youth development

· Assist and attend in regular meetings, annual event(s), community events, and sponsorship and fundraiser event(s)

· Assist the board with developing and executing the organizations strategic plans including fund development strategies

· Attend external functions such as retreats, trips, and outings

· Oversee and manage monthly and annual budgets

· Pursue new opportunities for programing, staffing, funding, and more as a part of the vision of The Crew

· Oversee and manage all social media accounts and operating systems

· Maintain a clean and safe environment at The Crew

· Track data in NFocus – Trax Solutions system to maximize the impact of grant writing and storytelling

· Complete QPR suicide prevention training

· Willingness to become CPR certified

Executive Director Skills and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree (Preferred but not required)

· 2 years in youth care/development (Preferred but not required)

· Background check is required upon employment

· Has an understanding of finance-related performance standards

· Has the ability to develop and execute financial strategies

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Demonstrates knowledge of youth development

· Organization and leadership skills

· Strategic thinking and analytical skills

· Able to obtain or have knowledge of management principles

· Must be willing to grow and develop our organizations and our core values

· Knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and budgeting

· Working knowledge of MS office and program management software

· Able to perform conflict resolutions and problem-solving skills promptly

· Willing to have a flexible work schedule
